What We Do

Driving positive change for a more environmentally conscious future, Ecosyscorp provides expert services in Resettlement Action Plans, Socio-Economic Surveys, and Environmental Impact Studies.

Resettlement and Right-of-Way Acquisition Planning

Infrastructure projects and other public works result in the physical and economic displacement of property owners and informal settlers alike. Hence, a Resettlement Plan is required for development projects under the Philippine Law and by international financing institutes to mitigate any social and economic impact of involuntary resettlement.

EcosysCorp’s planning techniques and tools have been tested and established through decades of experience in preparing resettlement plans that are compliant to both local laws and international social safeguards policy. Its extensive portfolio of resettlement plans includes a diverse type of infrastructure projects nationwide in both rural and urban settings – including railway, expressways, dike, bridges, and solar power projects. EcosysCorp was instrumental in the crafting of Resettlement Plans for the country’s biggest infrastructure projects funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

The company boasts of having in-house geodetic engineers and parcellary experts, licensed appraisers accredited by the Central Bank of the Philippines, state-of-the-art equipment for detailed measurement survey and socio-economic survey, and seasoned experts on land acquisition and resettlement.

Indigenous People’s Study

Rising demand for land has pushed urban development and infrastructure towards the fringes of ancestral domains or areas occupied by indigenous peoples. To ensure that indigenous people’s identity, culture, and rights to their ancestral lands and resources are protected, a methodical approach to early screening; culturally appropriate and gender-sensitive social impact assessment; meaningful consultations; comprehensive planning; and effective monitoring are necessary.

EcosysCorp has established experience in conducting systematized study of the indigenous peoples; integrating indigenous people’s issues into the resettlement plans and environmental management plans; and developing plans for implementing the safeguard policy on indigenous peoples.
